We are EISEN:
Essene Institute for Shekinah Engagement
EISEN, the Essene Institute for Shekinah Engagement, seeks to re-establish the ways and works of the ancient Essene community of Judea, circa first century CE. The Essene community - which was destroyed by the Roman Empire just prior to the formation of Christianity - holds vast secrets about wellness and the Divine that are extremely pertinent to our world today, enacting healing for many. The Essene knowledge and practices - called the Way - include mystic gnosis and practices that involve deep reverence of the divine feminine (Goddess) and masculine (G-d). The Essenes were the tip of the spear and held the priestly codes of engagement with the Shekinah and the Divine Feminine in Judaism. They were the vanguard of a movement that we call Shekinah Judaism that encodes keys of true empowerment and everlasting vitality through atonement and divine union. They were the protectors of the Shekinah indwelling in the Temple in Jerusalem, the presence of which is the prime mover of holiness into the world. With the Temple not in physical form at this time, the holiness is centered in our soul's relationship with our body.
Shekinah Judaism embodies the wild feelings of the original prophets and honors the many elements of the Divine Feminine that are planted deep throughout Judaism as embodied in/as the Shekinah, the feminine presence of God on Earth. Many Jewish groups adhered to this form of Judaism or something quite similar in ancient times, including the Essenes, Sadducees, and most likely many of the firebrand prophets that are described in the Torah, such as Ezekiel. What they had at their core was an uncompromising attachment to righteousness (right action/deeds as determined by Mosaic law and the covenant between God and the people) and a mystical connection to God’s glory, imminent as the Divine Feminine. These Divine Feminine elements of Judaism have been hidden in plain sight, and were coupled with the righteous element of the Essenes to create a powerful and vivid version of Judaism.
These divine codes were co-opted more than two thousand years ago by a harmful power reversal/distortion, while the Dead Sea Scrolls that told the original stories were stashed deep in caves in Qumran, Israel - their contents to remain a veiled mystery until the current age. This power reversal has run unchecked for two thousand years, creating a great deal of damage and suffering - and it is now time to re-coalesce and embody the original gnosis that holds the keys to "reverse the reversal," restoring the power balance in our world and generating Heaven on Earth from the maws of chaos and destruction.
Hanan and Sara Hayona Eisenman, the founders of EISEN, have been led through a series of miracles to resurrect these codes and their deepest holy practices. Hanan is an Essene Healer and Rabbi who employs this long lost holy tradition to enact healings and bring people into their sovereignty; while Sara Hayona is an embodiment of the ancient Hebrew Goddess, the divine feminine presence that the Essenes knew to grace the inner sanctum of the ancient Temple. They have been married for 22 years, and practice the Way together through healing, writing and divine union. The Essenes were known as "Osei Ha Torah" which translates to "doers of the Torah". For them, righteousness and aligned deeds were everything. EISEN is dedicated to aligning people with this wisdom to promote healing and devotion to the Divine.
EISEN is devoted to the successful resurrection and upholding of the Way and its practices, and dedicated to guiding people in learning/remembering these ancient codes and realizing them in their own lives in very practical and applicable ways that resolve trauma, heal addiction, restore relationships, and result in great joy and vitality.
Through EISEN, Hanan performs healing journeywork, shares the knowledge of Shekinah Judaism and offers an apprenticeship in the tradition of the Way, thus restoring this "lost" lineage to the benefit of all; while Sara Hayona offers speaking engagements and writings on a variety of healing topics related to the Way. THE WAY Publishing is the grassroots press and publishing house of EISEN, bringing the written works of Sara Hayona, Hanan, and Hanan's father Professor Robert Eisenman (noted archeologist, historian and revolutionary freer of the Dead Sea Scrolls) to the public.
Sara Hayona and Hanan's new book God is with Us discusses the Way, the Reversal, and the Essenes in detail, offering deep insights into the role of the Mother Goddess and divine union in Shekinah Judaism, as well as detailing a body of Hanan's journeywork and miracles that clients have experienced.
EISEN Academy is an online community where the wisdom of the Essenes and Shekinah Judaism is fostered though monthly video talks, book clubs, group prayer and other offerings.

Hanan Eisenman was born in southern California and travelled extensively in Europe and the Middle East with his father, renowned Dead Sea Scrolls scholar Robert Eisenman. Having learned much about the land of Israel during this time, Hanan pursued this interest in college, earning a bachelor's degree in History and English from UC Berkeley, and a Graduate Diploma in Jewish Studies from Oxford University. Combining grounded historical knowledge with a deep devotion to serving the Divine, Hanan unlocked the secret healing powers practiced by the Essenes - the group that authored the Dead Sea Scrolls - which were nearly lost for 2,000 years. With this knowledge, Hanan set out on a path as an Essene Healer, conducting hundreds of healing journeys with clients, using the sacred knowledge of wellness through personal responsibility and wholeness that is the core of the Way, the Essene tradition. Hanan continues to journey for clients with highly effective results, and now teaches this unique method of healing to apprentices as well. God is with Us - his first book - details the Way and many of Hanan's journeys and miraculous outcomes. Hanan is also an ordained Rabbi, with the aim of combining rigorous Jewish practice with the missing piece of wildness and devotion to the Divine Feminine that was central to the Essenes.
Sara Hayona is a UC Berkeley educated neuroscientist, philosopher, writer, and mother of two. Born into deep poverty, instability and trauma, Sara's entire journey has been a divinely-led initiation of re-living the story of the fractured Goddess [divine feminine] and re-coalescing Her power into sovereignty and wholeness, as she shed the paradigm of trauma and remembered the Goddess' riteful place upon the Earth - and specifically that of the Hebrew divine feminine, the Shekinah. The story of her miraculous healing and remembrance is told in her first book She is One, and serves as a prototype of the possible for the collective, rising. Sara Hayona serves as a divine feminine presence in Hanan's journeywork, and is a potent speaker and writer on the topics of the divine feminine, atonement, divine union, energetic practices and health - offering free content on social media. She co-authored God is with Us with Hanan, and works hand in hand with him in the Essene Apprenticeship. She also provides integration and after-care sessions for clients who have journeyed with Hanan, working hand in hand, heart to heart with the client to deepen the results of the healing work.
